Montfort
Cottage Guest House, is a lovely, compact and bijou 19th century Lakeland stone
terrace cottage, ideal as a romantic getaway for couples looking for
comfortable and affordable bed & breakfast accommodation in Windermere,
the heart of the English Lake District.
The
guest house is personally run by its owner, Leigh Giles, and is the
perfect accommodation base from which to explore the stunning scenery
and natural beauty of the Lake District.
Situated
in a quiet residential area close to Baddeley Clock Tower, the midway
point between Windermere and Bowness, Montfort Cottage is just a 10
minute walk from either village and their abundance of shops,
restaurants and traditional pubs, and a short distance from Lake
Windermere itself.
Guests of Montfort Cottage are also entitled to complimentary use of the
leisure facilities at
Parklands Country Club in Bowness, so don't forget to bring your swimming costume and a towel!
Facilities offered free of
charge include the use of the gym, swimming pool, spa bath, squash
court, steam bath and sauna.
There
are four guest bedrooms at Montfort Cottage, contemporary in style, having
all been redecorated for 2009. All of the
rooms have double beds, three have en-suite shower rooms and one has sole use of a
separate private bathroom.

House has gained an enviable reputation locally for its friendliness and
excellent service which, accompanied by a hearty breakfast, have helped
to build a regular clientele.
On arrival at Montfort Cottage all guests are
offered complimentary tea or coffee with biscuits.
Please note that we do
not accept pets and
cater exclusively for non-smokers.
Montfort Cottage
caters for adults only and is unable to accommodate those
younger than 18 years.
