The English Lake District

The Lake District National Park is the largest of England's National Parks and has something of interest to offer all age groups, with a wide selection of walks and climbs to choose from. Fishing, cycling, sailing, horse riding, golf and a whole lot more are available locally if you are feeling really energetic.

If you prefer to take things a bit easier and just want to relax, you can let somebody else do the driving by joining one of the numerous excursions available or take a cruise around the lake. Then, of course, there are always the numerous shops, bars and restaurants in and around Windermere and Bowness villages to keep you entertained.

Whatever you decide to do, you can be sure you will want to return to the Lake District again and again. And when you do, come to stay at Montfort Cottage.
